Cash on the auction block

My musical Holy Trinity consists of Johnny Cash, Lou Reed / The Velvet Underground, and Joy Division / New Order. So I was struck by the finality of the auction of property from Johnny and June Carter Cash's estate, and this short, moving firsthand account. It's an incredible assortment of memorabilia, including guitars, clothes, gold records, a letter from Ronald Reagan, and so on, all priced more affordably than I'd expect, although still maddeningly just out of reach.

On that note, here's his incredible final video for "Hurt," which features some of the very same items in the background.
