Matrix 101

IGN Sci-Fi: Matrix 101
"The Matrix is now the focus of an introductory philosophy class at the University of Washington in Seattle. Instructor David Nixon based the class on the philosophical themes and religious archetypes of the film. Nixon got the idea after seeing the film five times in theaters and realizing that it served to illustrate such concepts as perception, the mind and free will."

I think this is a whole load of Crap!!!

Every time something cool and intelligent becomes popular, as American's we always try to make ourselves seem smarter and more profound by scrutinizing it until it becomes stupid.

Do you remember when the rubis cupe first came out! We all thought it was the most intellectual game to come out since chess. And then some "braniac" tried to look smart by offering a 3-credit course on "the fundamentals of the rubis cupe" at a state college. And look how out dated that fad became. Is that going to happen to The Matrix?

I know that The Matrix is a good movie......but do we real have to look at every little detail of the movie and make some profound statement about it to try to seem smart?

It really isn't that serious!

I think its fantastic. It just goes to show how complex the films are and how deep people are willing to go. It's not about killing the film "Red" it's about learning.
