DJ Rap

Learning CurveThe first American release by UK breakbeat diva DJ Rap came out yesterday. Entertainment Weekly wrote, "a good deal of Learning Curve is ambitious in the best way, a sort of underground companion to Madonna's Ray of Light." On the first few listens, it comes off as a little more repetitive than that, but it's the sort of CD that becomes more arresting the more you listen to it. Another good bet for the casual listener is Twisted Tenderness by Electronic, the side project of New Order vocalist Bernard Sumner and ex-Smiths' guitarist Johnny Marr. Unfortunately, it's not being released stateside, and is only available as an import from Amazon.com.
